Chuck's House of Magic Burns Down

The largest magic/costume store in the south suburbs burns to the ground on Halloween. Story here. My guess is that an arson investigation is already underway; it's too much of a coincidence. I think somebody decided to try to pull an untoppable trick; maybe it just got out of hand, or maybe this was the intended result.

Yea, mom and I heard all the sirens going off last night. It really sucks. Now I have no where to go for all my odd emergencies. :(

I actually went down and saw it since it was about two blocks away from my house. Everyone seemed to be there it was the social event of the year. Very ironic a store that is centered about Halloween burning down on Halloween.

I never even went in there. Though I've probably passed it a million times, ever since I was a weeee little baby. Kristin talked about it a lot... Hey Kristin, are you the one who said you live two blocks away? I always thought that we should go there together sometime... oh well, too late now. :P :'(

May not be too late. A lot of peeps already requesting that they rebuild. It was never very crowded in there but they did a lot of stuff around town for parties and decorations too so I imagine they had more business than a lot of people thought they did.

It's just really bizzare. Last week I was standing in there admiring LOTR mock jewelry and Star Wars costumes and now there's nothing left but a shell and ashes. :(
